Debbie Hitchcock

Debbie has been in the fitness industry for almost 2 decades. She is a personal trainer as well as a group fitness instructor. She is certified through ACE and AFFA. She has her RYT in yoga through Yoga Fit, her certification in Pilates through Power Pilates and her certification in barre through Soul Body Barre. She emphasizes proper alignment, posture, and functional movements which pertains to the clients individual needs and daily activities.

She is a mother of 3 grown kids, lives in West Ocean City and loves to stay active. She loves to learn about nutrition and other holistic remedies for the mind and body.

I am 58 years old and have kept 65 pounds off for 4 years now. Good nutrition, portion control and exercise are why. Today I lead 2 support groups at the Gym to try to encourage others to get healthy this way and learn “the new normal.” Group support and weekly accountability are equally helpful to succeed at the journey. All are welcome and loved!

Sue Flynn

Born and raised in the Washington, DC area and retired and moved to Berlin, Md. in 2002. Have an amazing and supportive husband, Pat, and a son, daughter-in-law and two beautiful granddaughters. Have 5 siblings and all live full or part time here at the beach.

I am certified in Barre, Spin and Group Fitness and am currently teaching a Tone/Barre/Burn class, a Spin and Upper Body Class and a Small Group Class – Body Blast. These classes are great for all fitness levels and I can work with you if you have limitations due to health reason. If you haven’t tried the new Queenax equipment in the Training Room, I invite you to be my guest and check it out: Fridays from 9-9:45am.

I have been teaching classes in the Ocean City area for the last 2002.

I also own my own health and nutrition business and love helping people get healthier. Need help losing weight, improving your blood pressure, have allergies, cholesterol or digestive issues, etc., I may be able to help you.

Carol Frankowski

I have my certificate in Barre and have also practiced Yoga and Pilates for years. I love, love, love working out…everything about it. Always have, always will. I love playing tennis especially singles!

I have been married for 40 plus years to the nicest guy ever, have two wonderful children, and four perfect grandchildren. Moved to the Eastern Shore in 2004 after 30 years of traveling the world with my husband’s work. This is the best place to ever live, we both love it here. It feels like home, so many wonderful people.

Zumba Instructor

I have been teaching Zumba and Zumba Gold since June 2012. I have always loved dancing and took a few dance classes as a child. I am not a young chicken anymore so teaching Zumba makes me feel young and alive again and keeps me fit in the process. I have around 30-50 people in my Zumba Classes and we have so much fun. Last year my Zumba Gold Class was in the Berlin Christmas Parade and we got 2nd place!!!

I have been married for ten years and have a ten year old son. I also work as the Media Assistant at SonRise Church and I do Photography on the side. I am originally from PA and have lived on the Eastern Shore for 8 years now.I hope you will try out one of my classes either at WOC or Ocean Pines Recreation Center. Once you try it once you will be totally hooked. It is the only way to start your day!!!

Tana Martin

Tana Martin is an ERYT and has been practicing and teaching yoga for just over 20 years. Always a student and continuing to grow in her practice, she is passionate about sharing what she loves. Guiding her students in a playful and intuitive way, she enjoys creating a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere in the hopes each student has an amazing experience. Outside of yoga she loves the outdoors and beach living. Boating, SUP, hiking and walking her dogs, just to name a few!

Tara McDaniel

Tara is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as a Certified Exercise Physiologist. She has been an aerobics instructor and fitness trainer for more than 15 years. After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Tara worked for 7 years in Cardiac Rehabilitation at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. She has extensive experience training people with disabilities, cardiac issues, and other health concerns, as well as people who simply want to improve their overall fitness. Tara also has 5 kids, so she’s an expert in getting the “baby weight” off! Whether you’re looking to begin a new fitness routine, improve overall health, or achieve new fitness goals, Tara has the expertise to tailor a fitness plan to your needs.

Lora O’Neil

Certified 200 hour registered yoga teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance. Over ten years teaching experience in health clubs, schools, private studios, state parks, and The Wellness Community.
I discovered yoga when I was an undergraduate at Penn State University. It was the one exercise that made me feel whole. I decided to devote all of my energy towards the 2oo hour RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance). I have specialty certifications for prenatal/postpartum, seniors, and kids and a 200hr completion certification from YogaFit. I began teaching in Ocean City in 2003.

It has been a wonderful journey to work with clients of all levels and ages. Teaching while pregnant and teaching to infants and children is energizing. Literally feeling new life blossom is so complimentary to connecting with the prana, life force and energy that flows within us.

Senior classes are enlightening. I always leave feeling like the students have given me so much. Always open, willing, and delightful, I feel so grateful to work with those who have so much wisdom and experience to share.

I have been blessed to practice on vacations in Costa Rica, Hawaii, Florida and California. Taking yoga to the beach was a natural step. Feeling the sun, grounding in the earth, and listening to soothing surf is a sublime experience. I also teach yoga on the beach in the summers in Ocean City and Assateague. Living on the coast is where all my pleasures have collided.
As a mother, runner, surfer, and yogini, I feel that yoga is the one thing that culminates all of my joys. From yoga I have learned patience, to slow down, enjoy the moment, stay open, and to go with the flow.

I hope you find as much joy as I have in our journey together.

Liz Walker

Liz Walker has practiced yoga for more than 30 years. Like many, her practice began as a stretching addition to her exercise routine, but deepen during the last decade and became her passion. A National Board Certified full-time English teacher, Liz brings a deep understanding of creating positive learning environments to each class. After gaining her initial 200 hour Registered Yoga Teaching certificate in the Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga through the Chopra Center in Calsbad, California, she has continued her studies in workshops with Colleen and Rodney Yee, Kelley McGonigal, and Amy Ippliti. Currently, she is pursuing a second 200 hour level certificate with Rolf Gates. A naturally gifted, student-centered teacher, Liz’s intention is to help each student find within themselves that place of perfect comfort, alignment and peaceful energy which allows for healing and awakening.

Nina Wheeler

AAAI certified and has been teaching for ten years locally and over 20years in the state of MD. I live in Berlin with my husband and two daughters and have been employed with WOC fitness for the past 5 years. My certifications are in aerobics and group fitness classes, Pilates, and kids fitness. I have had two open heart surgeries and believe that exercise is the foundation to a healthy mind and body!
